Good to know

A whole house and bonus: a stand-alone office! All for you during your stay. Down a long private drive, the bungalow has no street front. This makes for a stay that is tucked away from the buzz of the city and at the same time, offers immediate access to all that urban Seattle offers. With two outdoor seating areas to relax in, adults and kids can socialize and play outside. The house is warm and cozy, with a smart TV, and decorated with art by Seattle-based artists or subjects that are about the region. Big fluffy bath towels and 680-count cotton sheets on the beds. Each bedroom has a well-appointed closet and storage spaces to tuck your clothes in. The kitchen has plenty of cooking tools, basic condiments, and spices. And unlike the majority of Seattle houses, the bungalow has air conditioning for the summer months and bonus, an in-duct UV air purifier system. The heated and air-conditioned office/studio is a stand-alone, 120 square feet flex space. Well lit, it has a polished cement floor, double French doors, heat, wifi backed by high-speed fiber, a drop-down desk, and two Eames-style chairs for a good sit. Set up your remote office or roll out an exercise mat for Pilates or yoga. And, we have an additional portable desk that guests can use in the studio or the house. The house is on Seattle's grid of dedicated walking and biking streets, set up to offer people plenty of low-trafficked residential streets for safe walking, biking, and exercise with plenty of social distance. Want a longer stay, say one, two, or three months? Send us an inquiry.

At four square miles, Seattle's Central District (also known as "the CD") is the city's oldest surviving residential area and is now one of the most interesting and diverse neighborhoods in the city. The CD was once home to Jimi Hendrix, Ernestine Anderson, Kenny G, and Quincy Jones. And the Central District is – no surprise – centrally located. Residents of the neighborhood describe the neighborhood as "diverse, central, bike-friendly, residential, interesting, and walkable." The CD has a number of designated historical landmarks: - Immaculate Conception Church, 820 18th Avenue (1904) - - Old Firehouse #23, CAMP, 722 18th Avenue (1909) - Victorian House, 1414 S. Washington Street (1900) - Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center (formerly Bikur Cholim Synagogue) 104 17th Avenue (1912) - 23rd Avenue Houses Group, 812-828 23rd Avenue (1892-93) - James Washington Jr. Home and Studio, 1816 26th Avenue (1918) - First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 14th Avenue/Pine Street (1912)

The tucked away bungalow was ideal. After our arrival we basically left our car in the driveway the whole time and were able to walk or take public transportation everywhere. As a devoted yoga practitioner the small side studio/office was much appreciated. The few shareable kitchen items were also very welcome, they made it feel like home. The next time we visit Seattle we will check with Wendi first. Thank you! Carol

My mom and I had a wonderful stay! The home is very cozy and was a nice place to come into from the Seattle weather. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked up with all the kitchen ware we needed. Wonderful stay and wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend.

Wendi’s place had everything from a washer and dryer to a pack and play for my baby. I enjoyed having a place to do yoga in the little studio before going to sleep on one of the comfortable beds. The house felt homey with a rocking chair, comfortable couches, and cool decor. My family and I will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

The house was great and very conveniently located. The dedicated parking was a big plus as street parking was limited and first come first serve. Everything was very clean and tidy inside of the house and everything was as described. The host was prompt on delivery of the door code and also sent helpful reminders about the recycling and composting requirements. It is a cozy home and would recommend staying here.

Such a lovely little hideaway but close to so much. The place was so clean and comfortable- loved the couch for lounging. Nice backyard area for relaxing. Plenty of places to eat and drink in walking distance. We even walked to Pike’s Place Market one day and scootered home - it’s about a 45 minute walk but easy :) Close to Seattle University - woilf love to stay anytime we sre in town. Thank you for the hospitality!
